Horizontal Directional Boring
Agri Industries uses the Ditch Witch 2720 Jet Trac Boring Machine
which is capable of handling all Directional boring applications. This
top-of-the-line machine uses a drive through ream back system which
can bore holes up to 1200 feet long with a diameter of up to *24
inches. This system is designed to pull back conduit, cable or both
during the ream-back phase using steel, solvent welded, poly,
“Cert-A-Loc” PVC, or just about any type of piping or cable. Perfect
for applications where trenching would not be feasible, directional
boring is the technology of the future and it’s here now, with Agri
Industries. Chuck Ellis, our operator, has 4 years experience
performing directional boring.
*Conduit diameters above 14 inches reduces possible boring length.
Vacuum Excavation/Potholing Slurry Clean-up
Agri Industries uses the Vacmaster SPV-800 Spoilvac vacuum
excavation system for all pot-holing and directional boring slurry
clean-up applications. Using a 2000 psi water injected high pressure
wand to pot-hole, the system can locate utility pipes and lines and
clean up the slurry in one easy step. This system allows us to locate
previously installed buried utilities to ensure no damage during new
underground construction. The Spoilvac can also be used to clean out
valve boxes, catch basins, underground vaults and manways. This system
is inherently safer than any mechanical means of potholing available
today.
Trenching and Plowing
Agri Industries uses a combination of different equipment to perform
our trenching and plowing. The Vermeer V-8550 Hydrostatic
Trencher/Plow is equipped with the Dry Shaker Vibratory plow and
Backhoe. The plow can plow in cable to a cover depth of up to 36
inches and the backhoe has a digging depth of 108 inches using 3
different bucket widths. The Burkeen B-30 plow is perfect for
residential and confined area plowing with a cover depth up to 18
inches. The Vermeer T-555 Trencher can handle those big cable jobs
and has the additional ability to cut through rock with available
rock chain attachment.
